Corded lace is an extremely elegant quality and is made by outlining details of a lace using a heaver or lustrous cording. This magnificent type of lace was originally made exclusively in northern France but is now made all over the world. Originally known as Alencon lace, it is formed by high lighting details in the pattern using a cord, which gives these laces a slightly textured look.
The sides of the lace have a straight finish but within the pattern are delightful scallops and it is easy to trim to match these if you so wish.
This lace has a soft drapey handle and would be perfect for "Mother of the Bride", Prom or Bridesmaid dresses.
